200 Yards is open to all photographers, professional and amateur. Work submitted must be original and produced by the person submitting. All photographs must be taken within the radius mapped for the specific show in which you submit to. Photographs may be color or black and white using traditional film and/or digital elements. It is required that your photo files meet the specifications and naming format as specified below. Photo files not meeting these requirements may be ineligible for entry. If you have specific concerns about the specifications contact 200yards@lightboxsf.com.
Entry Fee:
A nonrefundable fee of $25.00 for each 5 images submitted must accompany all entries. You may make multiple entries, however this doesn't make your chances of getting selected any better. We highly appreciate the ability to self edit and present what you feel is your strongest work.
Entry Procedure:
All photos submitted must follow the file specifications and should be submitted via the online form. If you have concerns about the specifications contact 200yards@lightboxsf.com.
File Specifications: JPEG files, 800 pixels (maximum length on longest side) and 1.0 MB, or smaller file size.
File Naming Format: Photographer-Title.jpg (please put your name first, it helps to sort through all the images)
These file specifications are just for submission purposes. Once the final images are selected, gallery quality, printed and framed images will need to be delivered for the exhibition.
Judging/Acceptance:
Notification of acceptance will be emailed about a week after the deadline along with instructions for delivery of artwork. Accepted artwork must be framed and hang ready. The artist is responsible for the framing. All accepted artwork is to be shipped or dropped off in-person during the drop-off dates designated in the acceptance email.
Sales:
Unless otherwise indicated, all work submitted will be offered for sale. Items “not for sale” must be indicated upon entry. A 30%-50% commission will be taken by the host venue for all works sold. Commission varies from venue to venue.
Liability:
Accepted works are not insured by host, Lightbox SF or 200 Yards. While we will do everything we can to make sure nothing happens to your work we do suggest getting renter's insurance for added protection.
